Hi and welcome to Scotland Bucket List!

Do you love Scotland as much as we do? Well you’ve come to the right place! We hope you’ll find plenty of travel inspiration for your next trip to Scotland. We’re Gillian and Jonathan, a husband and wife team who started up this website back in 2018.
Over the years, we’d often been asked for advice from friends or acquaintances for suggestions on what to see and do during a trip to Scotland. What are the must-visit sites in Edinburgh? How long should we spend in Edinburgh? We only have 7 days in Scotland, what itinerary would you suggest? You get the picture!
Between us, we’ve lived in Edinburgh, St Andrews, Glasgow, Orkney, the Northern Highlands and now in the central Highlands so we know this beauty of a country pretty well. We decided it would be fun to start up a blog on travel in Scotland to help answer all these questions. Gillian had dabbled in the world of blogging since 2012 covering family travel, lifestyle and early childhood learning but she felt really passionate about writing about Scotland. Due to various commitments, we weren’t able to spend as much time as we’d have liked writing in the early days and then covid hit and then life got in the way but we’re now able to give this blog a lot more of our attention 💙.
We’re constantly adding new content which we hope you will find useful. You can also follow us on Facebook or Instagram for inspiration!
